Cardi B welcome to take up Nigerian Citizenship, Presidency says

The Presidency has reacted to popular Amrican rapper, Cardi B’s desire to take on Nigerian citizenship, telling the 27-year-old mother of one, who visited Nigeria recently, that she is welcome to acquire the nation’s citizenship.

Cardi B, had on Friday, taken to her Twitter handle to condemn the news that Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani, who is the head of Revolutionary Guard General, Quds Force, had been killed at Baghdad International Airport by a US airstrike ordered by President Donald Trump.

In her reaction, Carbi B said President Trump had, through his action, put the lives of American citizens worldwide in danger.

She added in her Twitter that she was considering taking up Nigerian citizen, a statement that went viral and trended on Nigerian Twitter for hours

Reacting to Cardi B’s comment about becoming a Nigerian, Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), said the US rapper was welcome back to Nigeria.- Advertisement –

Dabiri-Erewa said: “As one in charge of the Diaspora for Nigeria, We can’t wait to receive you again. Our doors are open, sister.

“And you need to take a walk through the Door of Return in Badagry . It’s an indescribable experience.”
