See the Biafra Legend of the Aircraft that Odimegwu Ojukwu Used to Escape to the Ivory Coast Following the Civil War (Photos)

The renowned Igbo leader Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu used this jet to flee from Nigeria to Ivory Coast following the civil war, according to Benedict Murray-Bruce, a Nigerian business magnate and senator for Bayelsa East.

Chief Ojukwu was a Nigerian military officer and politician who served as the military governor of the Eastern Region of Nigeria in 1966 and the leader of the breakaway Republic of Biafra from 1967 to 1970.

The founder of Silverbird Group, Ben Bruce who posted the photos, wrote; “This is the plane Ojukwu left Nigeria with and fled to Ivory coast after the civil war. Nigeria should fix this plane & send to a museum.”
