Tambuwal Discloses Alleged APC Cyberattack On INEC Servers

Aminu Tambuwal, the governor of Sokoto State and director general of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council (PDP-PCC), has charged the All Progressives Congress (APC) with planning to breach the system of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to The Site News, the national presidential election is scheduled to take place on February 25.

Speaking at the PDP’s presidential campaign rally at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, on Thursday, Tambuwal warned that the opposition won’t accept any attempt to manipulate the election.

He said: “We are aware that they have brought hackers to hack the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BIVAS), to compromise the INEC servers, but we will not allow them. We would not accept any attempt by anybody to manipulate the electoral process.”

He stated that the in-fighting within the APC has plunged Nigeria into hardship, stressing that the ruling party has almost brought down the entire system in the pursuit of their selfish interests.

He cited the fear of imminent defeat at the presidential election as the reason the ruling party was bent on pulling down the system.

While allegeding that the APC was planning to bring in money, both old, new and fake currencies, with a view to deceiving them on election day, Tambuwal urged electorates to reject all their financial overtures.
