Tottenham Hotspur defeats Chelsea in the London Derby.

Chelsea’s dismal Premier League record continued today as they were humiliated 2-0 by Tottenham Hotspur in the London derby.
Even though Tottenham Hotspur’s coach Antonio Conte was out with a sickness when his team faced Chelsea in the London derby, Graham Potter’s team still came up empty-handed.

From the start of the game at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium on Sunday, Spurs proved to be the most determined side as they took full advantage of their limited chances.

Even though Chelsea recorded 59 percent of the ball possession, and had ten shots, two more than Spurs, they looked disorganized upfront.

The biggest event in the first half was Ziyech’s red card in injury time for shoving a Tottenham player in a fracas. However, the VAR intervened and the referee downgraded it to a yellow card.

After a barren first-half draw, Tottenham Hotspur started the second half with more hunger to score which paid off in the first minute of the second half.

Oliver Skipp gave Spurs the lead in the 46th minute. In the build-up to the goal, Kepa saved Emerson’s low shot from the right of the box. The ball came out to Skipp, who leathered it into the net off the crossbar.

Spurs dragged the lone goal lead until the last ten minutes of regular time until in the 82nd minute when Harry Kane doubled Spur’s lead.

Son swung in the corner into the middle. Dier flicked it on to Kane at the far post who steered it past Kepa.

The 2-0 win keeps Tottenham Hotspur in the 4th spot on the league table with 45 points in 25 games. While Chelsea are left in the 10th spot on the league table with 31 points in 24 games.
